Details of September's programme will start to appear in the calendar section over the next week or so. In the meantime, an Autumn Camp is being set up for 8th to 10th October and will be at Chelwood. More details on this soon.

At the end of July the Troop helped clear the community mental health team's allotment. This was much appreciated by the team and was the result of some good hard work put in by everyone on the evening.

In addition to a spot of rafting, we have the opportunity to do some abseiling on Wednesday. By tomorrow everyone should have a letter with the requisite permission slip, which needs to be returned wedneday night. If for any reason you've had neither a letter nor an email, then make sure your parents sign one of the extra ones I'll have with me.

Ian (Mac) MacDonald is getting some of his friends and comtempories together on 30th July. Bob Rosser's details are sought, so Bob, if you're reading this by any chance, please get in touch.

We had more than our fair share of water activities in the last week of May. The widegame on wednesday was played in a series of downpours, but the Scouts did well with the bases, particularly the line throwing (even if you allow for Ervin's dunking in the river) and enjoyed the marsh mallows up at the 197th HQ. All credit though, must go to Steph and Carl for getting a perfect fire going.
Thursday was Sailing with the Avon sailing team, a brilliant evening, dry, sunny and a bit blustery making for some great turns. We even had to rescue Steve's hat.
