About the 55th
The 55th was formed in 1909, one of the first in the district. It has continued since then, teaching and entertaining thousands of young people.
At the 55th, Scouts take part in a wide range of activities - it's not all tying knots! We often take hikes in the local area, and try to go on camps as often as we can. Week to week, Scout events range from abseiling to cooking, from rafting to bike mechanics.
Get involved!
If you are interested in joining the group, please contact one of the leaders listed below who will tell you when to come and try out. Joining us one evening costs nothing and does not commit you to come back unless you want to!
We normally meet on Wednesday nights between 6:00 and 9:30 at Dr Bell's Primary School (map and address). However, we recommend you either get in contact with us before visiting, or check the calendar, in case we're meeting somewhere else that week!
